| Equipping Women To Know God And Glorify Him In Our Home, Church, Community, and World |
What is WIC?
WIC is primarily hospitality and relational study groups for women in the life of our church home at Faith. It deals more directly with the day-to-day spiritual growth and needs of our church family as a whole. It also provides ladies with groups for study, prayer, nurturing, encouragement, and opportunities for ministry.
The WIC council collects input for present and future needs as well as the development of the church and WIC study groups for women. The council is the liaison for suggestions and ideas for church-wide women functions and WIC study groups with the leadership of the Women’s Ministry Coordinator. This would include church-wide WIC committee events, retreats for women, study group input, welcoming our visitors and new members, while also supporting and encouraging all women to help make our church a home and family.
We should not consider ourselves limited to four walls of a building although much of our function is to embrace newcomers into our church home. We should also never be a “closed group” nor consider the job “done”, but pursue the church-wide opportunities made possible through other venues and functions of our church. We are neither cloistered away as “young” or “old” but joined as a “family”. As a fellowship of Christian women we seek common interests that encourage healthy nurture and growth.
